Jin Qian Bo

Jin Qian Bo of Yin Jian Hell was a Hakka during the Qing Dynasty whose original name was Li Shao Xing. He was born on the sixth day of the third lunar month in the year 1650.

Li Shao Xing's father was a businessman, and his mother was very virtuous. He grew up from a wealthy and educated family background and believed in Buddhism. His father was very strict with Li Shao Xing, especially in education. Therefore, Li Shao Xing studied very hard on sages and worshipped Buddhism since he was a child with a compassionate heart, often helping the poor. In AD 1670 (the ninth year of Kang Xi), Li Shao Xing was admitted as a Jin Shi as a staff advisor, and was later appointed to Shao Zhou as a prefect. The state had a prosperous economy and Li Shao Xing was deeply loved and respected by the locals. After 12 years as an official, Li Shao Xing was tired of the official life at the age of 32, and he resigned and opened a school in Shao Zhou.

When Li Shao Xing was 36 years old, he abruptly organised and prepared everything for his home, then travelled to a Taoist temple in Shao Zhou to become a monk.

The city gods came to greet Li Shao Xing as his soul went to the underworld. The underworld ruler even wrote to the Jade Emperor in the eleventh hall. He was given a Ru Yi Jade by the Jade Emperor, making him a Wealth God on Earth. He was more widely known as "Jin Qian Bo," which literally means "Golden Money Sage".

King Yama of the fifth hall was moved by his benevolent gesture of generosity, and he appointed him to oversee the treasures burnt by the descendants in the human realm for their ancestors. Jin Qian Bo needed to verify and count these charred offerings from the human world. When the soul's sentence in the underworld was completed, they were allowed to take their offerings, and Jin Qian Bo would return all of their offerings and properties to them. If the soul had not finished their sentence yet, the offerings will be temporarily held in Jin Qian Bo's treasury. It was completely safe for Jin Qian Bo to manage the money because of his kindness and honesty.

Not only will Jin Qian Bo kept those treasures safely, but he will use it to help the descendants of the souls in the human realm. When these descendants encountered difficulties on earth and needed money to live or get through the difficulties under reasonable conditions, Jin Qian Bo will help them. The shape of the statue of Jin Qian Bo was wearing a glittering golden robe, smiling brightly, smiling at good men and women, holding one to five gold ingots in the left hand, and Ru Yi Jade in the right hand. Ru Yi Jade symbolized everything going well, therefore, believers also honoured Jin Qin Bo as "God of Wealth".

In most cases, when descendants worship and pray to other gods in a temple, these gods will also relay this message to Jin Qian Bo in the underworld. Jin Qian Bo will equitably disperse the treasure once he had personally discovered the truth. Jin Qian Bo's method of distributing money was through their dreams ofcourse usually giving 4D numbers, so that his descendants could make a fortune in 4D betting, winning lottery tickets, any lucky draws, money found on the road that no one claimed, some salary raise at work, or extra dividends.

All individuals who were entitled to receive money from the abundance of money, were filial to their ancestors and parents, and they were the only ones who could get these blessings. Furthermore, Jin Qian Bo will frequently bestow wealth and fill the pockets of all decent men and women who had a predestined relationship with him.
